In line with legislation, we have carefully considered each product to ensure child safety is an essential feature. To increase safety, move beds, cots, high-chairs and playpens away from windows. With Concorde Blinds, you can be confident that the product choices you make are focused on child safety.

Use the guides below to help you measure for your made to measure blinds. Ideally, please quote measurements in centimetres.

Blinds may be fitted inside or outside the window recess, so please ensure you select the right guide before you begin to take your measurements.

Inside the Recess

You will need to take 6 measurements for a blind inside the recess:

Drop Measurement in 3 Positions – Measure the drop at the left, middle and right side of the recess – We then need the smallest of these measurements

Width Measurements in 3 Positions – Measure the width at the top, middle and bottom of the recess – We then need the smallest of these measurements

Outside the Recess

Please be aware that the the measuring guide for outside the recess does depend on how much room you have around your window.

You will need to measure the width and the drop.

As a guide, we suggest for the drop you add 10 centimetres on top of the window and 3 centimetres below the window sill (or measure to the sill). For the width we suggest you add 2 centimetres to the width of the window sill.
